BREITLING Stainless Steel "B-2"
3-Reg. Automatic Chronograph with Date at 4:00. MINT condition with Box &
Papers. Circa 2001 In
the noblest BREITLING tradition
The B-2 is an aviation chronograph in line with the noblest BREITLING
tradition. The fact that its appearance echoes that of the famous pilots'
chronographs made by BREITLING from the fifties to the seventies is no
coincidence.
The circular slide rule with logarithmic scale is an essential feature, and
despite the cutting-edge electronic instruments now available, it serves as
a crucial "backup" tool for traditional airborne navigation. Among other
assets, it enables the pilot to rapidly determine essential data such as
rates of ascent and descent, miles per hour, fuel consumption as well as to
convert distances into miles, nautical miles or kilometers, and minutes into
hours. An overdrive pinion mechanism enables the wearer to activate the
slide rule on the B-2 by rotating the bezel. The B-2 is powered by 38-jewel
BREITLING Caliber 42, a selfwinding movement with special 3-hour and
10-minute totalizers.
