OMEGA Speedmaster "125" 125th Anniversary (1848-1973) Model. Limited Edition 2,000 pcs. Ref. : 378.0801 / 178.0002. Circa 1973. 

Stainless Steel 12 Hour Chronograph with Date and 24 Hour Indicator, The most interesting part is the  Also the huge SS unusually designed case which comes with inner and outer case. Inner case which can be removed from the huge outer case is round in shape with the screw back cover and the front 'Tachymeter' glass crystal attached to it for holding the movement (Similar to later model Speedmaster Mark IV which comes with a Cal.1040 movement). Water-resistant to 60 m, tempered mineral glass crystal.

Dial :
Signed and Original Mat Black Dial is in Good / Excellent Condition. Date at 3:00. Metal applied Logo at 12:00.
Case :
Signed and Original SS Case appears to be in Good condition with minor light scratches from wear (Never Been Polished).

The case body is made out of 2 parts, it has inner and outer case. Signed Screw Back Cover appears to be in good Condition with 2 nos. open marks. Tempered Mineral Glass Crystal has a few light scratches and the dial can be clearly seen (As Shown). Stainless Steel signed and original bracelet is in good shape with minor light scratches from wear and it is in reasonably tight condition.

Size Measured = 50mm x 42mm. & 37mm across bezel.

Movement :
Signed and Original Cal.1041 (Automatic) movement (Adjusted to 5 positions and temperature) is in Nice and Clean Condition as shown.
Remarks :
Runs Well and Keeps Time. The chronograph functions are all working nicely.

 This is a Very Rare Omega Limited Edition Speedmaster. Although it was no individually numbered, yet it is a 2000 pcs Limited Edition made only in 1973 for Omega 125th Anniversary. Cal.1041 was the 1st Officially Certified Chronograph Chronometer only made for this Speedmaster 125.

***** This is a very special model which was made in 1973 for Omega 125th Anniversary (1848 - 1973) and this is why the watch is being called "125". Although it is not individually numbered but this is a limited edition model in which only 2,000 pcs were made and sold in 1973. This watch also carry the 1st Omega Chronograph movement which has been tested and officially certified as "Chronometer". The Cal.1041 movement is basically a Cal.1040 movement which carries the name "Chronometer". According to reference, this Cal.1041 movement was made only for this watch and has never been used again.
