OMEGA SS Olympic Split Second Pocket Chronograph. Circa 1940s

Descriptions : OMEGA Stainless Steel Split-Second "OLYMPIC GAMES" 30-Minute Sub-Second (Pin-Set) Pocket Chronograph. Manual Wind / Pin-Set. Circa 1960s/70s.

Dial : Signed Original Mat. Black Dial with White OMEGA logo below the12:00 30-minute reg. is in Excellent / MINT condition. As seen from scan, it is very Sharp still. 2-Tone (Black & White) hour / minute hands. Chrono hands are Orange & Red. (All in excellent condition and are original).

Case : Signed & original Mat Black coated Steel case appears to be in good to excellent condition with NO visible scratch / damage. Double Snap back cover with snap type inner dust cover are all nice and tight. Round Winding crown at 12:00, Split second pusher at 11:00. Screw down type PIN-SET at 1:00.

Outer RED plastic signed case also appears to be in good condition with minor tiny dint marks from wear. Case open by pressing the 2 buttons on the side of the case in order to open the hinge type case as shown on scan. Outer case pusher at 11:00 position is for setting the split second chronograph function.

Glass crystal is in MINT condition with no damage or scratch.

Movement : Signed & original 21 Jewels manual wind Cal.1131 movement with Ref. 3179xxx is in excellently clean / mint condition. The movement is a very high bit rate movement.

Remarks : According to my research, this pocket watch was used for OLYMPIC games timing machine since 1932 . This is a highly collectable and rare Omega pocket watch with Split Second Chronograph / Timer Functions. The type of pocket chronos were used for Olympic Game from 1932 to the early 1970s (According to books).
