I.W.C. / PORSCHE DESIGN Steel / Titan Automatic WW with Date / Flip-Open Case & Compass Function. Original Box & Papers. Circa 1983.

Dial :

Signed and original mat. black dial appears to have been slightly aged with even light spot marks all round but still appears to be in reasonably good condition with all lettering very clearly shown. Hands are original and in fair condition with minor luminous loosing from the hour hand. Orange second's hand. Signed "International Watch Co." at 12:00 & "PORSCHE DESIGN" at 6:00.

Case :

Signed (By I.W.C. with case reference : "2265405") and original steel / titan case has originally mat black coating finish which appears to have been a bit worn out from normal wear specially around the edge areas but still appears to be in fair condition. The black coating can be easily restored by recoating the case.

Case, unusually has a Flip-Open top which can be opened by pressing the buttons on both side of the bottom lugs. Once the watch is opened, there is a COMPASS underneath with rotating bezel to turn for direction.

The watch's back cover is a screw type with mirror on both sides. Watch comes with a signed & original bracelet with flip lock buckle. Crown is non-signed but appears to be original.

Size Measured = 39mm without lugs and crown & 12mm thick.

Movement :

Signed (By I.W.C.) & original 22 Jewels Cal.375 Automatic Wind Movement with 2-Tone Rotor appears to be very nice and clean condition as shown on scan. Movement Reference : 2339xxx.

Remarks :

This is an original PORSCHE DESIGN watch made by I.W.C. which was made in the early 1980s and this one was purchased in 1983 according to the original papers that come with the watch. The watch do also comes with signed & original round leather box. I have kept the watch running for 2 days and it appears to be running quite well.
