LUMINOR PANERAI, Rare, huge & unusual watch with special design for crown protection, the famous Italian Navy Diver's Watch, circa 1998, Like new in very nice signed square wooden box.

This is a current model made in 1997/1998 by the watch division of OFFICINE PANERAI and was acquired by Vendome Luxury Group.

Dial :

Signed black dial with no. 12, 3, 6 shown, sub seconds at 9 o'clock, luminous hour marking.

Case :

Signed huge polished stainless steel 316L (Very High Grade Chemical Resistance Stainless Steel) case (measured 44mm in diameter without lugs).

Movement :

Signed 17 Jewels manual wind movement with 44 Hours Power Reserve..

Remarks :

This is a very limited production watch (according to the reference letter from the manufacturer, 1500 pieces of this particular model were being produced for 1998 series, last production was in 1996 which can be found in "ANTIQUORUM" catalogue). The watch also comes with a spare original signed 100% waterproof black leather band and a screw driver for changing the band.

The company decided to keep the production in small quantity as they used to. The watch has been produced in 1500 pieces. The number A08XX/1500 indicated on the back cover is the limited number of watches produced. (In which
